The new ePE membrane technology is lighter and thinner, yet just as strong and durable as the materials we used previously. You may notice that the outer material "soaks in" slightly faster in products with ePE membranes, but rest assured that this does not affect the waterproofing of the membrane itself. If you notice the material soaking through faster than you'd like, simply wash and dry the jacket to remove oil contamination and restore the water-repellent finish to its full strength.
