The new Turbine has been completely redesigned, narrowing the stem clamp area to allow for both faster lowering and earlier rising to achieve our meticulously tuned Goldilocks (GL) setting for compliance and comfort. The GL Tune hits the sweet spot preferred by most riders; stiffer was too harsh, softer was too flexy.
Cutting handlebars makes them stiffer and ultimately less comfortable. Instead of making a single 800mm length and expecting riders to trim it down, we made six alloy bars in your size and height, all compliant with our GL Tune to reduce fatigue.
We used extremely precise aluminum engineering to optimize the flex profile of each Turbine bar variant. This means we altered the position, degree, and rate of wall thickness change—what we call internal butting. The result is a flexible bar with very high strength.
