The new Turbine has been completely redesigned, narrowing the stem's clamping area to allow for both faster taper and earlier rise to achieve the meticulously engineered Goldilocks (GL) setting for compliance and comfort. The GL Tune hits the sweet spot most riders prefer; any stiffer was too harsh, any softer was too flexy.
Less trimming, more comfort
Trimming the bars makes them stiffer and, ultimately, less comfortable. Instead of making a single 800mm length and expecting riders to trim them, Race Face made six alloy handlebars in your size and height, all using GL Tune to reduce fatigue.
Race Face has used extremely precise aluminum engineering to optimize the flex profile of each Turbine bar variation. This means changing the position, degree, and rate of wall thickness change. The result is a compliant bar with very high strength.
